Curriculum Structure

Grade 7 - Grade 9 : Curriculum Overview

At the junior high level, CCIS follows international school standards with a trilingual curriculum in Chinese, English, and Thai. The program aligns with the U.S. middle school system while integrating the strengths of Chinese education, particularly in math and science, where Chinese teaching methods reinforce logic, structure, and academic foundations for future global studies.

Chinese Curriculum

The Chinese language program focuses on the comprehensive development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Through systematic instruction and varied practice, it helps students improve their Chinese proficiency to meet academic and everyday communication needs. The curriculum incorporates cultural elements to deepen students’ understanding of the language and its cultural context. The program provides dedicated language support for international students preparing to study in China, while also assisting students with prior Chinese knowledge to maintain and enhance their language skills.

Multilingual Elective Courses

Our multilingual elective courses offer students the opportunity to learn Japanese, French, and other languages. These courses focus on building practical communication skills, cultural understanding, and language foundations to prepare students for further study or international experiences. Whether starting as beginners or continuing previous learning, students will engage in interactive lessons designed to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities in these languages.
